Apple Cider Vinegar
What is it?
Combing apple juice with yeast causes fermentation resulting in vinegar.
Unpasteurised and unfiltered apple cider vinegar contains the “Mother of vinegar”, the mother refers to living nutrients and bacteria naturally occurring in the vinegar. Unpasteurised apple cider vinegar is characterised by the cloudy settlement sitting at the bottom of the bottle. Pasteurised apple cider vinegar can often be identified by its clear colour, resembling apple juice and does not contain these benefits. It is important to get a strong vinegar that is opaque and has plenty of the mother left in it, meaning there is sediment at the bottom of the bottle. We stock Coral Tree vinegar at both our Miramar and Lambton Quay offices.
We recommend having a teaspoon with water 10 minutes before eating to help with digestion.
